Spiced Middle Eastern Lamb Burgers
We love regional flavors and these lamb burgers are fabulous.
Ingredients
Yogurt Sauce
- 1 cup full fat, Greek yogurt
- 1/2 lemon Fresh lemon juice
- 1 clove minced garlic
- chopped fresh mint leaves to your taste
- 1/2 tsp coarsely ground black pepper
Lamb Burgers
- 1 pound 85% or less, lean ground lamb
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 2 teaspoons Far Out Feather Dust
- chopped fresh parsley
Topping
- 1 ripe medium size tomato chopped
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
Instructions
Yogurt Sauce
- Mix all of the ingredients together in a small bowl then chill.
Lamb Burgers
- Mix ground lamb with all other ingredients together and form four patties.
- Gently add a dimple to the center of each patty with your finger to retain the shape while grilling.
- Grill the patties until they are cooked to your preference. We like medium so they are still juicy.
Topping
- Mix chopped tomato and red onion together in a small bowl
Assembly
- Place yogurt sauce and topping on lamb burgers and then slide into a pita bread pocket.
