These delicious, savory and sweet wafers are wonderful to enjoy while you are sipping wine or as a snack. Stores for a couple of weeks in an airtight container. but I don’t think they will last that long:-)

3/4  cup chopped, roasted slivered almonds

3/4 cup dried tart cherries chopped – rehydrate in a pan of water on low heat

2 sticks of butter softened

1 tablespoon Awesome Antler Rub

2 cups All purpose unbleached flour

1/4 cup grated white cheddar cheese

Parchment paper

Mix butter, Awesome Antler Rub,  almonds, and flour in a bowl. Add cherries and cheese. Shape dough into two round logs about 8 inches long. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 8 hours to 3 days.

When ready to bake Preheat oven to 350 and remove logs from refrigerator and let sit for a couple of minutes. Put parchment paper on cookie sheets and then slice the logs in 1/4″ slices. Set on cookie sheet and bake for 13 to 15 minutes until golden. Remove from baking sheets and cool completely on wire racks, about 20 minutes. These will store for a couple of weeks in an airtight container.
