Lois's Spiced Plum Tart

Easy and delish! This recipe uses those wonderful prune plums that come in the fall.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 C all-purpose flour
  • pinch Himalayan pink salt
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp Yellow Dog Sweet Shake
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 T white vinegar
  • 15 prune plums

Plum Topping

  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Yellow Dog Sweet Shake
  • 4 Tbsp Flour
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions
 

Plum Tart Crust

  • Pre-heat oven to 400. Mix flour, sugar, salt, butter, and vinegar. Spray non-stick cooking spray into the tart pan. Push into a large tart pan so crust is even.

Plum Filling

  • Wash and pat dry plums. Make a slit into each one and remove the pit. Mix flour, sugar, Yellow Dog, and cinnamon together. Toss the plums in this mixture and then place cut-side down, on the crust. Bake in a pre-heated oven for 40 minutes and chek to see if crust is brown and plums are soft. If crust starts to brown cover with foil and cook until plum are soft.
